Shipping policy

Fort Standard partners with white glove movers as well as FedEx and UPS for smaller shipments. All shipments organized by Fort Standard include insurance in case of loss or damage during transit. For international shipments, any local taxes, VAT, or duties are billed by customs to the consignee upon import.

All work is individually inspected to leave our shop in perfect condition, so if a product is received with damages, they occurred in transit. Reports of any issues must be made immediately to sales@fortstandard.com. Detailed images of the damaged parts and how the packaging was assembled must be shared along with a written description of all issues. All original packaging/crating must be kept; failure to do so will invalidate any claim. Damaged products cannot be moved from their original shipping destination; failure to do so will invalidate any claim.

  • If a client organizes delivery, damages must be stated at pick up.

  • If a Fort Standard recommended moving company is used, damages must be reported the day of delivery to both the movers and Fort Standard.

  • If shipped via FedEx, UPS or DHL, damages must be reported to Fort Standard within 48 hours of delivery.

  • If shipping to a warehouse, the warehouse is responsible for unpacking to report any damages to Fort Standard within 48 hours of receipt. Damaged products and packaging cannot be moved from this warehouse destination.
